BrewFest Review: Denver Summer Brew Fest 2017
Summer time was in the air at Mile High Station as Denver Summer Brew Fest 2017 took placetook place this last weekend! We enjoyed the festivities with fellow beer lovers and were able to find awesome views & delicious brews.
The brewfest featured great food including pizzas and TURKEY LEGS for those looking for handheld snacks. Along with food, it of course featured tons of breweries bringing their latest and greatest to the public for consumption. We detailed the event in our PreBREW for Denver Summer Brewfest a few weeks ago so check that out for additional details of which breweries attended.
The fest took place in the same location as the previous Denver Winter Brewfest, Mile High Station. This spot was a bit crowded during the Winter Brewfest but the summer brings the people outside, causing the event center to have an open feel as opposed to stuffy. The bands were rocking hard outside and the crowd was loving it while enjoying brews both outside and inside from several local breweries.
My favorite beer I had was the delicious Thai Style White IPA ale from Upslope Brewing in Boulder, CO. It was interestingly spiced with a distinct hoppy bite that was super refreshing and tasty! This was just one of the many great beers available that really added a great diversity of beer styles and ABV levels for attendees to enjoy.
The one unfortunate event to happen was some drunk guy barging through the crowd and stealing Declaration Brewing's cool sign (pictured in the gallery below) which was a first i've heard of such an thing happening. Hopefully they captured the guy and got the sign back for them!
When all was said and done, this brewfest was a great time and a cool environment with bands and food outside along with nice weather! Check out the photos below and look to mhbr.beer for more great beerfest photos!
