PreBREW: Denver Summer BrewFest

Sun, Fun, Brews and tunes! That's what I am excited about for this weekend as Denver Summer Brewfest kicks off on July 28th with another session on July 29th!

I will be going to the Saturday session and as such decided to do some research on what this brewfest is! I have previously gone to the Denver Winter Brewfest which was a great time but extremely crowded which made it hard to get to the beers. I am excited to see how the summer iteration goes and have learned alot about what you can expect in this upcoming brewfest!

The festival is being put on by RightOn Productions in benefit of Swallow Hill Music Association. This means your money goes toward a nonprofit community for musicians and music lovers in Denver to help bring people together through different programs and help those who love music enjoy, learn and perform.

Summer Brewfest features 50 breweries and cideries who bring their beers into Mile High Station. There are also going to be food trucks available for the inevitable hunger that will strike at the event while enjoying all those great beers. Breweries like Black Shirt Brewing, Little Machine, Left Hand, Pug Ryan's and more offer a range of different beers from different parts of Colorado.

There is a VIP session that includes early entry and a beer and cheese pairing with MouCo Cheese and a special performance from Pick & Howl. The General Admission tickets also feature a band with Nevermind the 90's on Friday and Supper Doppler on Saturday.

At the Winter Brewfest, there was a cover band that played different songs from the 80's and other classics that really got the crowd into it. It really added to the experience so I hope that these bands get the people involved as well! I will find out on Saturday when I attend this event and will report back what the event has to offer and if it is worth it to visit. I do this for you.......but also because I really love craft beer!
