The House That Beer Built
Starting in April of this year, we began filming various pieces of the project from Habitat Metro Denver, The House That Beer Built!
The House That Beer Built is a program that brought together 21 local breweries who worked together and independently to help build an affordable home for a family in need. The breweries raised money in April with the Hops for Homes BeerFest that offered great beers for a great cause and took place within the Great Divide Barrel Bar. Habitat Metro Denver sold awesome brewery passports that offered great discounts at your favorite local breweries for a small donation of 10$ towards the program.
Breweries also raised funds through their own efforts for The House That Beer Built with events like Fiction Beer Company and Park Burger coming together for a great burger and beer pairing! Julia Herz even attended to give beer lovers a small lesson on beer pairings with food! Other events like Diebolt Brewing creating a special beer called "The Rent Is Too Damn High" and selling it in the taproom help to add to the 48k+ raised to help this family get an affordable home!
The community and the breweries within them show once again that they can come together for the great cause of helping others! Consider getting involved with this and other programs at www.habitatmetrodenver.org and learn more about what you can do to help!
