Philadelphia Brew Tour
Last month, we visited Philadelphia to get a cheesesteak, see the sights and get some craft beers. Walking the city yielded amazing experiences with the people of Philly and the town. The history could be felt through the cobblestone roads and the magnificent places like Independence Hall and Penn’s Landing. The beer was no different as there are some great places within the old town and throughout the city.
2nd Floor Brewing Company was located in Old Town and featured an amazing view from the 2nd floor into the old cobblestone city with classic styles and a great selection of beers.
Love City Brewing Company was on the other side of the city (though still walking distance) and was where we watched the Eagles game with the fans of the city. This brewery had a nice open space and back area with a food truck and a staff that was welcoming and helpful. The beers were pretty damn good too with traditional styles available for draft and on the go.
Last but not least, we visited Roy Pitz Barrel House which had a ton of great sours and IPA’s. This spot was really close to Love City and had some great food along with their brews. My favorite beers recently have been sours and Roy Pitz offered a bunch of great sours, including an awesome raspberry sour that was like drinking jam.
